I wish I could say that I am the author of the lovely sentiments in my Christmas wish for you; they are from a card in a box of Christmas cards that I bought several years ago. Though I'm not the author, I try my best to walk in the path of those teachings. My wish for all of you, my dear friends, is that you will always live with hope, peace, love, and understanding in your hearts, and that you will spread those most valuable gifts wherever you may roam.
Merry Christmas!

These are words to live by and love, Susie. I'd like to post them on my eyelids to remember every hour.
Gaining understanding from differences and difficulties is not easy, but I think with a little attention and practice, we can do it.
I count among my most treasured gifts the gift of you in my life. I wish you, David, Aimee, Jaye and your beautiful grandbabies all the best fun, love and warmth. Merry Christmas, my dear friend!
Oh my, yes! Peace, acceptance, gratitude, love--all things to hold in our hearts and keep year round (if only). Thank you so much for this. One of my biggest gratitudes from this year is having met you!
Have a wonderful wonderful Christmas, my friend, surrounded by family, warmth and laughter. ((hug))
Merry Christmas Susan! May the Spirit of the Season fill each of us and remind us to practice a little more love, kindness and harmony in the coming year.
Thank you for these inspiring words. I wish you and your a very happy Christmas!
Yes, this is really it - how we should strive to be. Beautiful, true words, Susie and I thank you for putting them here for us to read. (I smiled at Ruth's wanting to post them on her eyelids.)
All these lovely sayings - I should just make a screen saver of all of them in the faint hope that I might adopt these sentiments more consistently.
Merry Christmas, dear friend. As always when I read you, there are those spaces between the lines that say so much. Big hug and love to you.
I know I'm not really getting my wishes in on time. The truth is, it's just after midnight, but I still had to come by and wish you the merriest Christmas season ever. I want to thank you for making my life richer by sharing your blog and by reading mine. You are a blessing to me. Merry, merry Christmas, my frined. May the coming week bring you laughter, joy, short returns lines, and lots of good deals at the after-Christmas sales. ;^) Much love, Relyn
Dearest Ruthie, I know it's after Christmas, but thank you so much for your inspiring, uplifting words...here and in the beautiful poetry you write. The world would be a much sorrier place without you in it. You are a true friend in every sense of the word. I'm so glad we found each other.
XOXO

Dear ds, one of the great pleasures of having this blog was becoming friends with you. I love your gentle spirit and kind ways. I didn't teach you anything with the words above, because you already live them. May we all have peace and happiness in the coming year.

Dear Steviewren, thank you so much for bringing me good wishes for Christmas! I'm a little late, but I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family, especially the little ones. Many blessings for the coming year!
Dear Dutchbaby, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones! I've so enjoyed getting to know and admire you this year. I hope the coming year brings you much happiness and wonderful photo opportunities!

Dear Deb, what a delightful "find" you were this year! I can only hope that someday we will meet in person and yakyakyak to our hearts' content. It's such fun talking to you and learning about your life. Your talent as a writer just blows me away...and I can't wait until you finish that novel so I can read an entire book of it.
I hope 2011 is full of happiness and delightful surprises, dear friend. Big hug and love right back at you!
Dear Relyn, your sweet words just made my day! And it's never too late for Christmas wishes, thank you. You are such a kind and gentle soul, and I'm wondering if your students' parents know how truly lucky they are to have you as their children's teacher. I hope the coming year holds many blessings and much happiness for you and yours.
XOXO
Susan
I am finally finding time to take a breath and visit my blogging friends to wish them the merriest of Christmases and New Years!
I will try to hold these gifts you wish for us in my heart throughout not only the new year but the rest of my life...Thank you dear Susan for you kindness and friendship...May this be your most rewarding year yet!
Thank you, Oliag. Happy New Year to you, too! I hope it brings happiness and fulfillment in many ways. Your friendship is a blessing to me.

Thank you for posting this!
I'm with Ruth & Judy: "words to live by" and "thank you for posting".
Your masthead photos are beautiful. Are these your ornaments? I love them.
Judy, you're so very welcome! I'm glad they had meaning for you.

Susan
Thank you, Cali Girl! Yes, those ornaments are on my tree. I made that header last year and brought it out again because I love it so much. The two wool sheep were made by a woman in a nearby town who raises sheep. They're just as soft as they look. The blown-glass acorn is one of my favorite ornaments and I just happened to get the perfect lighting with the light glowing through it. It's one of my best photos, I think. The star Santa is one of the first glass ornaments I bought about 12 years ago.

Such beautiful sentiments. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and all the best in the New Year!
Susan, Thanks for your kind words. I hope the parents of my student's are happy, but I think they feel my homework policy cancels out some of the rest. ha.
Bella, the same to you! I hope 2011 brings you all you need and enough to make you happy.
XOXO
Susan
Relyn, believe me...they will get down on their knees and thank you someday! :)
I should print this and read it every morning. What a great card!
Stacy, I've had it hanging on my refrigerator for several years and read it often. I don't think there's any better guide to living than that.
