Six Word Sunday

In the tradition of Ernest Hemingway, who was once challenged to write a short story in six words.
His six-word story was:  "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

Each week I will choose a theme. It is your mission, if you choose to accept it, to meet that challenge in six words, no more, no less.
If you like, you may illustrate with a photo, or not.
Punctuation will be your biggest ally.

If you decide to play, please link back to this post, and leave the link to your post in comments here.
If you don't want to create your own post, you can write your six-word story in my comments.

The Theme:
Red or White

Red ones give me a headache.

Thank you for playing.

Tattered, do you make some fine wine with them?

Susan said...

Wanda, just starting to harvest a few.

Deborah, the Canadian flag?

You're the only one who's ever noticed! I think it's funny, too! :D

Susan said...

Natashya, me, too...that's why I usually stick to mixed drinks or beer.

Red wine brings a happy sigh.

(I am missing those happy sighs these past 5 months :))

Red or white, second's a delight.

No, not me. Can't drink alcohol due to medications. But there are chardonnay vines that have been planted by birds. They go to the big vineyard a few acres away, eat the grapes, come here and poop. In a few years, voila...grapes.

Red wine, rich embodiment of grapes

you should try some reds that don't have sulfites (usually the organics) as those don't seem to give people headaches that are sensitive to red wines. :)

Red: delicious with a rich meal.

White and sweet with tiny bubbles.

=) These are always fun!

red or white makes me blue

(PS: wine doesn't really agree with me)

Only four more months, Stacy!!

Susan said...

Stevie, seconds usually put me to sleep. :)

Susan said...

Yes, Tattered, the same thing happens with poison ivy...eat, fly, poop, grow. :)

Susan said...

Hi Tammy! That's a good one!

I've tried the organic ones and they do the same thing. Maybe I just drink too much of it. :)

Susan said...

A nice medium rare steak, dutchbaby?

Susan said...

Cora, the bubbles tickle my nose! :)

Susan said...

Sandy, re: my response to Wrensong Farm's Tammy! LOL

Susan said...

Judy, I've also come to that conclusion. :)

My flag idea: Deb did first!

Wine tasting and jazz: Picnic optional.

Another true story...

Okay, think I'll keep the grapes. Can't think of anything to make with the poison ivy, though we don't have that out here. We get poison oak.

Does it have to be about wine? I thought an ode to Alice:

"Paint the White Red," she said.

Red on white saved my Life.

Deborah said...

Susie...you got it!

(PS to Kath, are we the only two Canucks to turn up here??)

Deborah said...

and Vanessea is a very clever person indeed!!

Susan said...

Hi Kathryn! That Deb's a sneaky one!

Susan said...

Oliag, that sounds intriguing... you should tell the story.

Susan said...

Tattered, poison oak, even worse!

Susan said...

Vanessa, you are very excellent at this game! I love the Alice one. And I'm guessing the other one is the American Red Cross?

Susan said...

Deb, I have a couple more Canuck friends here. Natashya (up there ^) and Sanna from VioletSky, who didn't check in for this one.

I love your pretty flag.

Vanessa is verrrry clever. You should check out her blog, Worth the Wait. It's on my sidebar.

That is quite a challenge! I don't know if I'm up to the task, but I wanted to stop by and say hello and thank you for the comment on my blog.
